In the world that we live in society is obsessed over the way we look. Some people try so hard to look like what they see in magazines. Women want to look like the models and men want to look like the buff weightlifters on the cover of muscle magazine. Is all of this shit real? Who knows? However, if an athlete isn’t supposed to use steroids legally, should magazines be able to use photoshop/airbrushing for their models legally? Yes, steroids are bad for one’s health, but users of steroids do not care. Models don’t care about the deception, they just want to look good and make money. Their health is at risk as well, as justified by their diet. I think in both cases let them do whatever they want, who cares. It is their health; it is their lie, why should we care? “Notice every moment.”--Keith
I read an article a while back on MSN about obesity in the United States. Everyone knows or should know that America is one of the unhealthiest countries in the world. What I found amazing about this particular article was that it stated that 53 % of overweight Americans report they are not overweight and have no plans on trying to lose it. What is wrong with these people? In my opinion, they are in the worst denial I have ever heard about. If you are overweight, at least freaking acknowledge it, freaking unbelievable. “Notice every moment.” --Keith
I have been working with addicts, criminals, alcoholics for the last twenty years. One thing they always tell me is that boredom leads them to trouble. They say they don’t have enough to do. Years ago, I totally agreed with what they were saying; now I think perhaps they use this as an excuse to go out and use. In our society, there is always something to do; we can always find something to occupy our time. We may discover that whatever it is we find to do is not the most exciting thing in the world, especially not as fun as getting high, but healthy activities are out there. Hiking, biking, library, reading, there is always something. Many communities offer an array of activities to become involved with, such as cleaning hiking trails, volunteering at a food shelter, neighborhood watch programs etc. There is always something to get yourself involved in. There is always another choice besides using or drinking if you just find it, but you have to want to. Therefore, my thoughts are stop using boredom as an excuse to go use, find something to do. “Notice every moment.” Keith
I get so tired of hearing about, “Politically Correctness.” It has gotten to the point to where living in this society, one is scared to say or do anything for fear of being criticized or sued, or whatever. I personally do not give a f--- what anybody calls me, or how I am referred to. People are offended to easily in this society and get all bent out of shape because they are not referred to as they wish. Well, in life we don’t always get what we want, do we? I am one to say whatever I want and I really do not care who it offends. I am not mean spirited, but I am not scared to say things just because of the term, “Politically Correct.” I get sick of it to tell you the truth and I predict that many of you reading this do as well, but we cannot say that, it would not be politically correct. “Notice every moment.”--Keith
