The things that get to me are countless, but here is one that baffles me. Driving through my neighborhood, or any neighborhood, I see beautiful cars that are spotless. The owners keep them clean. Sometimes, I even see people out for hours washing and waxing their beautiful rides. That shows initiative and pride for sure. However, why not clean the useless bullshit out of the garage and park your clean forty thousand dollar car inside of it. It amazes me how many people have their garages so full of crap that they can’t park their cars in them. Boxes and boxes full of useless junk stacked in their garage while their forty thousand dollar car is being rained and hailed on. OH, then they will report hail damage to the insurance company and our rates go up. If you have a garage for Christ’s sake use it. “Notice every moment.” Keith The other evening I was enjoying dinner with my girlfriend and this couple sits down in the booth across from us. I can’t help but notice and bring up to my girlfriend that this couple are on their phones, doing what I am willing to bet, a bunch of useless crap. Not once do they speak to each other. They take the time to order their food of course. They sit there with their heads down, with no acknowledgment of each other. I think this is sad, no communication, why go out to dinner with someone if you are going to stare at your useless smart phone. This is what’s wrong with people now days, nobody says anything to each other, they sit on their cell phones at the dinner table overeating and getting fat. Here’s a thought, try a face to face interaction now and again, “Notice every moment” Keith.
Lone Survivor is a new film with Mark Wahlberg. I watched this movie the other evening wondering about its accuracy. I always wonder about movies that are based on a true story. In short, these are Navy Seals fighting the Taliban, and all but Mark Wahlberg’s character dies from the attacks. The reason they fall under fire for the most part is that the communication system they use fails. I looked it up and indeed this was the true-life case. This is typical of our government. We pay taxes, the soldiers risk their lives so that we can enjoy this country, and their equipment doesn’t work, unbelievable. Anyway, this is a good movie and it makes you think and realize what our soldiers go through. It is worth checking out for sure. Thanks to all of the brave men and women in the military. Take care of yourselves, our government won’t. “Notice every moment.” Keith
I feel sorry for kids these days. It seems they get two months out for summer break and that is it. When I was a kid, we got out of school at the end of May and went back on September 2. Things change I suppose. I am not sure they learn all that much in school anyway. Here in Albuquerque, and when I lived in Little Rock, kid’s goal for the day was just to survive through it. Kids carry guns to school and knives, how can you learn when the goal is just to get home at the end of the day. Teachers can’t teach affectively when they are worried about violence breaking out in th classroom. Anyway, summer break for kids isn’t long enough in my opinion. Kids need to have fun, life is not all about books and education. Speaking of education, on the college level, anyway. The education I attained to get to where I am, my degree, my License to practice etc. is worthless. I can’t think of one instance in 20 years that I used anything I learned in college on the actual job. College is a money racket. “Notice every Moment.” Keith
