I’ve long been fascinated by the morning rituals and daily habits of successful artists. Examining the eccentricities of my favourite authors and identifying any common habits they share. Of course, there’s no formula for success or a guarantee that if you perform certain rituals you’ll be destined for greatness. That said I do think we can learn an awful lot from studying others, testing out certain habits and rituals and seeing what works for us. I’ve noticed a handful of popular activities through my own research, reading and conducting interviews with various artists. Meditation, physical exercise and journaling all seem to feature highly. Interestingly there are a number of studies and anecdotes that link physical exercise to increased productivity. In fact when Richard Branson was asked “How do you become more productive?” (in The 4-Hour Body by Tim Ferriss) Branson said, “Work out.”

Many people are hard on themselves, beating themselves up and not giving themselves a break for mistakes, or credit for their accomplishments, or good decisions. Past decisions or present ones, past actions or present actions , either way, sometimes we tend to be our own worst critic. I include myself in this. If we make a decision and feel peace in our heart about it, then why second guess our thought or action? I personally do this at times. To often we think about the should of's could of's or what if's. We all have to do what we feel is right in our lives and take care of ourselves. Self care is very important and when we second guess or beat ourselves up for our actions or decisions, that is not self care and can led to health problems from the stress of it all. Take care of yourself everyone, and if you feel in your heart that your actions or decisions are the right ones, then you did the right thing, so feel peace in it and be easy on yourself. I have always trusted my gut feeling on things, suck as making important decisions. My gut usually is accurate. Whenever in doubt about something, don't do it. I hope everyone reading this has a good Christmas, and don't forget to browse my site for your holiday gifts.--Keith
Eating breakfast the other morning at a restaurant, I found myself in a conversation about how many different ways eggs can be prepared, and what they all were. The only preparations for eggs I knew were scrambled and fried. I always wondered what eggs benedict, and poched eggs were. I decided to look them up and I found this article http://goo.gl/atsCN8 explaining what each type is. Now i know, and when the conversation comes up again at breakfast, I can solve the mystery for the other person. Yesterday in a group I was conducting, a youngster stated we should all talk about life. “What about it?” I asked. She said, “Let’s talk about how hard it is.” I went on to say that life is only as hard as we make it. Of course, there are issues that come a long sometimes that are hard to deal with, but most difficulties in life we bring on ourselves. Especially if you are an addict like these individuals, I was talking with. Addicts are strop in some ways, think about it. They are willing to take on normal life as we all do, plus they hustle for their drugs, get arrested, get diseases, lose jobs, see their probation officers, get arrested, go to rehab, families cut them off, they hate themselves. Therefore, I told her that regular life is much easier than and addicts life. They just think regular life is hard. They take a regular life and add all that crap to it, making it harder, so in a way they are willing to take on more than we regular people are, so to speak. They got a laugh out of that, but then again they all agreed it was true. Only an addict would take on all of that extra crap in life. “So you see, I said to this young lady, life is only as hard as you make it. I find it amazing, after the horrific stories, I have heard over the last twenty-one years that regular life scares them, considering the things many of them have been through. I tell them they don’t know how easy life is, of course they don’t understand because to them life is living in an altered state all of the time.

They were saved, however, when the wealthy Bishop Saint Nicholas of Smyrna (the precursor to Santa Claus) crept down their chimney and generously filled their stockings with gold coins. 8. It is estimated that the single “White Christmas” by Irving Berlin is the best selling single of all time, with over 100 million sales worldwide. 9.
