My writing is going well. My novel Shop Side should be releasing soon at Fountain Blue Publishing. I just finished my second novel, and hopefully it will be accepted for publishing. I have two short stories set for magazine publication in the August and October 2015 issues of cc&d magazine. As of late I have been writing poetry which is my passion. Below is an excerpt from my soon to be released novel Shop Side. Tell me what you think? Have a good day and feel free to subscribe. Keith
In West Memphis for seven weeks, here I sit parked out in front of Kaley’s store trying to get the guts to walk in and say… well, right now I haven’t a clue what I will say. Look at that, Ray Mathis is going into the store, fucking redneck. That man has never liked me, and I don’t like his ass. I remember him telling Kaley she married a fag, and then he would laugh his redneck laugh. Ray was wrong; I am bi, not homosexual. He and Kaley’s father used to run together, both were rednecks, and closed-minded, a typical mindset for people in this area. Ray is so full of fucking shit he fucking stinks; I never believed a word that guy said. My guess is he’s probably sitting there in his chair right now telling this tall-tailed bullshit about something magnificent he thinks he has done. That dick has never done shit as far as I know. This is my third time parking here watching Kaley’s store. I sit for about an hour and then drive off like a coward; maybe Ray is right I am a weenie. Hoping to catch a glimpse of Kaley, I’d like to see what she looks like before I go in to the shop. All I need to do is park out here at closing and I can see her come out, but I am scared.
