I suppose every generation that passes through this existence says, "They don't make things like they used to." My generation is no different. Here are some things I have observed that they don't make like they did when I was a kid.
Snickers bars used to be huge. A king size snickers today, was the standard size bar when I was a kid. Moon pies, they used to be huge, now they are so small. Hot wheels used to be entirely metal, now the bottoms of them are plastic. Toys, in general, are all plastic and cheap. Whatever happened to cartoons like Bugs Bunny and the Roadrunner, "Gone." Cartoons like "Hong Kong Phooey," are gone. The Justice League, the Superfriends are all way in the past. Cartoons now days are too complicated for kids, they are no fun. They require too much thought for kids. My grandson watches PBS cartoons and that is all. Prices rise and the quality of products go down. Even socks, t-shirts and underwear are cheap now. When I was a kid t-shirts were thick and durable, now I can almost poke my finger through them tearing a hole. What are some things you have run across that are poorly made? I hate to see how poor the quality of things will be when my Grandson is forty-five. --Keith
