I viewed a movie over the weekend that I recommend even if you are not a baseball fan. 42, is the title and it is a story about Jackie Robinson. It is unbelievable how much racism there was back then and it was only sixty -five years ago. On some levels, as we all know it is still prevalent. Being raised in the south in the seventies and eighties, East Texas, I saw my share of racism towards African Americans. I remember my parents telling me as a boy, "Don't swim with black people because their skin comes off in the water." Unbelievable, my parents were ignorant to say the least.

Unfortunately, racism still exists and probably always will in some form or other. You have inspired me to see this movie.

I loved the movie 42. Racism always throws me for a loop. I would never imagine to think that skin tone would make a person different, much less make a person less or greater.

Wow. Thanks for sharing, I'm sure they were good in their own way(everybody is) but that view was(is) one of millions against Black people; this is right up my ally.

Oh and Edit: So people wont think I'm just beating up on anybody) Once black people come together amongst themselves THEN we can begin to come together with others fully, we are doing the exact opposite an failing miserably losing ourselves in the process, burdened by dreams from desperation an struggle an the dreamers were assassinated before completion.
