I am happy to announce that my new book of poetry entitled, "A Day with You," should be out by next Wednesday 11/13. There are samples of it under the poetry section , please check it out. My Novel however, Tomorrow is August 12th has been delayed. I will keep everyone updated. I am excited about the poetry book, it is a collection of many different styles of poems, or should I say subject matter, with some pieces dating back thirty years ago. Some of them I wrote as a teen-ager. The selections are dark, funny and some deal with true life and the working man. Please take the time to read the samples and the collection will be available for purchase at Amazon, Createspace and Smashwords. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have writing it. I always welcome comments and please feel free to subscribe to my blog.---Kelly

It seems that my best writing as well as others that I have talked to, comes when I/they are going through a hard time in life, such as a break up or job loss or something to that affect. I believe that, because I know that some of my best stuff comes in time of such issues. This is unfortunate, but that is the case for me anyway. I was working on my book of poetry over the weekend, and some of the poetry I have chosen for it goes way back in my life. I thought to myself, how good some of the pieces are and as I read through them , I remembered what I was going through at that particular time in my life. The best poems I have written are during stressful tomes. Not that I want to go through these times, but some of the poetry is very well written. I use writing to help me through these particular times. It is all interesting to me the relationship between life and writing. My new book of poetry will be out in the very near future entitled, "A Day with You," Poetry collection. I am anxious for it to be finished as well as my new novel that is in the editing phase. Take care everyone. --Kelly
In the very near future I have a book of poetry that will be coming out as well as a new novel. I love poetry and I feel like it is a lost art. I have always liked Poe, with "The Raven" being my favorite. What I really want to mention in this post are what I call the "Rock and Roll poets." My favorite Bruce Springsteen. He can write sweet simple lyrics and he writes deep haunting songs. Nebraska is perhaps his most dark work and I feel it is brilliant. If you ever have a chance, read his lyrics, your cheating yourself if your don't. Another is Bob Dylan. He has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, but was turned down because his work is considered lyrics. What a sham, if you ask me. He is another true artist. There are many more, but these are my favorite, among other poets as well. But lets not forget our "Rock and roll Poets."--- Please subscribe to my post by scrolling down. Kelly
