Almost always when approaching someone asking them how they are doing, they will always say, "I am fine or good," something to that affect. People say this even if they are not fine. It is something we just say for whatever reason. Conduct an experiment asking ten people how they are doing and I bet you most if not all will say fine. Some of them you can tell by their expression, facial tone, whatnot, that they are really not fine. Funny how us humans are. Here is another experiment. Next time someone ask you how you are doing, tell the truth, if your not feeling fine tell them your not. Say something like, "You Know I am not doing that good today." See how they react. Most will show sincerity and ask what is going on. I have found that people will listen as long as we don't ramble. Most will try to help. Maybe we don't want to bother others, maybe we feel others don't care. Maybe this is why we always say, "Fine," when things re not. Share results of your experiment by commenting. Have a good day. ---Keith
Many people fear death thinking about how they will die. It causes anxiety. Many don't talk of it, and some people I suppose never even think about death, perhaps life either. I never think much about life, I just try to live it and stay in the moment. Let's think for a minute here with an open mind. What if the life we are living is the after life, or what if this is a waiting place until everything is over. If this is the case then we don't remember dying, therefore what is to fear about death? What if we have lived a thousand lives? We die and just get placed somewhere else, another dimension, another body whatnot. That means we have died many, many times. We don't remember it, so I ask you again what is so scary and why get so anxious about dying? We may not know we died anyway. In my writing I typically don't write of death, but I have a couple of poems that are about this whole life, death, afterlife stuff. We will never know until our time has come of course, but I find it interesting to think about. Have a good day and as always share your comments. --Keith
