As we live through life we gain experience, and through this experience we learn many things. The older we get the more we hopefully learn, although some don't. Hopefully as we progress though this journey of life we do learn stuff, especially from our mistakes. Here are a few things I have learned in my forty-seven years. Enjoy and as always browse my site. Comments are always welcome. Have a good Friday.---Keith
1. Equal cost for equal loss. 2. Experience is the real education. 3. Closed mindedness leads to unhealthy choices and behaviors. 4. If your quiet people will listen when you talk. 5. Here is an interesting article on 10 marriage rules we should break. No wonder mine didn't work out.(LOL) I write in my novels and poetry quite a bit about relationships and marriage. Do yo ever wonder who writes these articles? Do you ever look at the source or just read the article? I often wonder who "they" are. This article actually debunks the things I have always heard about relationships. Of course "they" say this one day and tomorrow it will change. It is just like coffee, today it is good for you, but tomorrow they will say not to drink it because it will kill you. Anyway you slice it relationships are tough and what may work for one couple will not for the other, and what works one day may not work the next. Here is the article enjoy http://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/marriage/10-marriage-rules-you-should-break/ss-AAcJnIY#image=1 Feel free to browse my site and buy thousand's of copies of my books so I don't have to go to my regular job. Have a good one. Keith
The other evening I was playing with my grandson and he was riding his bike. I asked him to let me show him something really neat and of course he agreed. I flipped his bike upside down and showed him how to turn the peddles with his hands and it was called making ice cream. I told him he was the ice cream man. He rode his bike a few more minutes and then turned it upside down and said he wanted to make more ice cream. "PahPah," he says. "Where does the cream go, where do you put it here to make it hard? I made up something to tell him, but I also told him that when I was a kid we never thought about asking that question. I thought that was cool that he thought outside the box to ask that question. When I was a kid, we never thought about that. I told him this and he kinda just laughed.
Then I began to think about this, why did we call it making ice cream? Did anyone else do this as a kid? We used to use our Big Wheels. Where did this come from? Was it just us, or did other kids do this? I looked it up on the internet and ran across a forum where a couple of people did this, but they didn't know why either. If anyone can tell me where this came from, I sure would appreciate it. So anyway after this, my grandson and I went in for some ice cream and he asked if kids made the ice cream we were eating. I told him that it was possible. I think the thing he thought was the best was that I showed him something I did when I was a boy.
