It is hard to live in the moment, but in life, if you think about it, that's all we have. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow may not arrive, the present is all that is guaranteed. We get caught up too much in what we want to accomplish in the future, what we want to buy, etc. What if it doesn't get here? Well, we missed out on the present and what we could have accomplished now. The past is gone, we can't get it back. No reason to think about the worries of yesterday. Staying in the moment takes a lot of practice, but if you can accomplish this feat, life is much easier.
It appears to me that people now days have forgotten to have fun. I hear people say they don't have time to enjoy the things they like to do. I always tell my clients that in this fast pace of life nowadays, we have to make time for fun. We have to make time to do the things we enjoy. We all need to make time for ourselves. I do realize that there is no time to do the things we want to do sometimes. That is why I use the phrase, "Make Time" I have never had any trouble with making time to do what I enjoy. I make sure I have fun and do the things I enjoy in my life. Life is to short to not do them. So I urge everyone to make time and have fun and live in the moment. --Keith Is it good to argue in relationships? I feel that it is, but there are fair ways to argue. There is not any relationship on earth where people do not argue. It will happen, and there is no way around it. The best thing to do is to learn how to argue fairly. There is a correct way.
1. Of course, no violence. 2. Take turns talking and listening. 3. Stick to the subject at hand, don't bring up past arguments or things your partner did five years ago for example. 4. Do not belittle your partner. 5. Try to talk in a calm voice. 6. Do not blame, own up to your own mistakes and admit it if you are wrong. 7. Do not talk about or name call your partner's family members. Most relationships fail due to a lack of communication. Learn to communicate. Learn to argue fairly, there is a successful way. Remember, the goal isn't to win an argument with your partner, it is to compromise with them.- Kelly |
